About us
We help families find the right home for someone they love.
Finding care is usually something a family does once, under pressure, with no idea where to start. Most people begin by calling homes one at a time and asking the same question — do you have a bed? — and hearing no.
Finding Care Homes exists to make that first week shorter. Search by city, pick the kind of care you need, and see which homes actually have room right now. Every listing shows beds open against beds total, because that is the number that decides whether a visit is worth making.
What you can search for
- Senior assisted living — for a parent or grandparent who needs daily help but not a nursing home.
- Sober living — for someone leaving treatment who needs a stable place to land.
- Transitional housing — for someone between situations who needs time and support to get settled.
- Foster care — for a case worker or family looking for a placement.
- Adult day care — for a family caring at home who needs coverage during the day.
How we work
When you request a tour, it comes to us, not to the home. We call the owner, confirm a time that works for both of you, and send you the address. That is deliberate: a care home is somewhere people live, and we do not publish street addresses or owners’ phone numbers.
Families never pay us. Home owners pay a flat annual fee to be listed, which is a fraction of what a placement agent charges them per bed filled. That is the whole business, and it is why we have no reason to push you toward one home over another.
Where we cover
We are starting in California and adding homes every week. If you cannot find what you need in your area yet, tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll go find it.
Finding Care Homes is a directory of care homes. We are not a licensed placement agency, we do not provide medical or legal advice, and we are not a party to any agreement between a family and a home.
