Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This policy explains what Finding Care Homes collects, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it to actually describe this site, not as a generic template — if something here doesn’t match what the site does, tell us and we’ll fix either the policy or the site.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we collect:
- If you request a tour: your name, phone number, email, who the care is for, when care is needed, and any notes you add.
- If you list or claim a home: your name, phone number, email, role, business details, state license number, and any photos you upload of the home.
- If you join a waitlist or contact us: your name, email, and whatever you write in the message.
- Automatically: standard technical information any web server logs, like your IP address and browser type, used only for security and abuse prevention.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect information about a child’s identity beyond what a caseworker or family voluntarily writes in a free-text field when requesting foster care information. We don’t publish that information anywhere on the site.
Why we collect it
- To connect a family’s tour request with the right home and follow up with both sides.
- To verify that someone claiming a home actually owns or operates it.
- To let you know when the site opens more broadly, or when a plan you’re waiting on becomes available — only if you asked to be notified.
- To keep the site secure and stop abuse of the forms on it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. The only reason your contact details ever leave our system is to arrange a tour you asked for, between you and the specific home you’re interested in.
Who sees it
Tour requests and messages go to our team first — never directly to a home owner. We reach out to the home on your behalf. A home’s owner never receives your phone number or email unless a tour is actually confirmed and you’ve agreed to that.
Your information is stored with Supabase, a database provider that encrypts data at rest. Access to it is restricted to our team through a password-protected admin system — it is not publicly accessible or indexed by search engines.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we have about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete it.
- If you’re a California resident, you have specific rights under California privacy law to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
To do any of this, email hello@example.com or use the contact form. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Photos you upload
If you upload photos while claiming a home, you’re confirming you have the right to share them and that we can display them publicly on that home’s listing. See our Terms of Service for the full agreement.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If that changes, we’ll update this section and this site’s cookie disclosure before we do.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
