FAQ
Questions families ask us
Does it cost anything to use Finding Care Homes?
Not for families. Searching, requesting a tour, and visiting are all free. What you pay the home each month is agreed directly between you and the owner — we never take a cut.
Why isn't the street address shown on a listing?
A care home is somebody's home. We show the city and county so you can judge the distance, and we send the exact address once a visit is arranged.
Why are there no reviews?
A six-bed home might get two reviews in a year, which tells you almost nothing and can be badly unfair to the home. We'd rather show you real, current availability and let you judge for yourself on a visit.
How fast will I hear back after requesting a tour?
Usually within one business day. If a home is full or doesn't respond, we'll tell you that rather than leaving you waiting.
What if there are no homes listed in my area?
Tell us what you need and we'll go find it. We're adding homes across California every week.
Is Finding Care Homes a licensed placement agency?
No. We're a directory — we help families find licensed homes and pass along tour requests, but we're not a placement agency, and we don't provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
How do I list or claim my care home?
Search for your home on our list-your-home page. If it's already listed (most California-licensed homes are, from public state records), you can claim it for free in about a minute.
